Crime Reports

If you have been to this site previously I’m sure you have noticed some major changes over the last week. This domain has been sitting dormant for quite some time, and I have recently taken on the task of building it out to be a useful resource for the public. We must not stop until the gangs running our streets are taken out of power. This includes all the thugs putting our lives and the lives of our families at risk. Homeland security has done little of nothing to secure us from the terrorist element working here within our country, the organized gang wearing badges. We need officers that are willing to do more than chase an auto thief around the valley in the hopes of getting good press for the department or making it onto the latest episode of Cops. We need officers with the guts to take a stand when the criminal element is working from within. You may have also noticed several ad blocks on the main page in both the content area and side bars. The intention of this site is not to make money but it does cost money to maintain a website and that money has to come from somewhere. I'm hoping the ad program will provide enough income to pay hosting and service fees. The site collects revenue when someone clicks on an ad from Google or actually purchases a book from Amazon. This has pretty much become the norm for private websites, especially sites such as this that don’t charge for membership and provide a public service. I hope you find the ads useful. Since the new content management system was installed about a week ago I have started receiving emails and submissions on our contact form from people regarding crimes in the Sacramento area. This is primarily because the Sacramento Police Department is located at sacpd.org, and our domain is SACPD.com. A simple error that many people make is typing in ".com" instead of ".org." In fact recently the Sacramento Police Department issued a press release regarding a memorial for Officer Emily J. Morgenroth. Officer Morgenroth was tragically killed when she broadsided a pickup truck while responding at high speed to a traffic stop. In this press release the Internet address pointed to this site instead of the actual SacPD.org domain. When I receive an email or form submission I simply return it to the sender letting them know that they have reached the wrong website. I have however been receiving crime reports or tips that are submitted anonymously. I could simply ignore these but do not believe that is the right thing to do with the information. I have attempted to contact the Police department via telephone several times to find out if I should forward them on for their review or investigation. Once I was told by the dispatcher that she would look into it and try to get back to me. Another time I was given an email address that immediately bounced my email. I do have a few email addresses that I believe are valid for SacPD.org but there has been no response from these emails. If you have read my About page you may wonder why I would risk another raid of my home by returning emails or attempting to contact the Sac PD. I am not going to live in fear of the few officers and elected officials in Sacramento that are corrupt enough to stage illegal raids. This is America, and I intend to live like an American. Tonight I sent an email to Deborah over at the SacramentoBee.com as I believe she has contacts within the Sac PD that could tell me if I should forward these submissions and to where. I’m hoping to hear back from her soon. Stay Informed. Stay Secure.
